Let the Second Half Begin!

One day removed from the 2009 All-Star Game in St. Louis the second half of the baseball season is one day away. With regular season competition on hold for three days the players are rested and ready to start playing again.
Here are some interesting things to look out for:
- The Roy Halladay sweepstakes.
- The MLB trade deadline.
- The division races.
- Whether Joe Mauer can hit .400 or higer.
- Albert Pujols' triple crown watch.
- Will Stephen Strasburg pitch this season?
- Will Manny Ramirez do what he did in last year's second half?
- Will anyone else throw a no-hitter?
Hope the second half is as fun as it has been in the past.

1. Roy Halladay won't be traded
2. Joe Mauer won't even hit .350
3. Albert WILL win the triple crown
4. Strasburg will not pitch this season
5. Manny will have a monster half
6. Yes, somebody will throw a no-hitter
Well there are your answers, I guess there's no need for anybody to watch baseball this year anymore.

Coming from a braves fan -
the Phillies need to watch out for us, this division will come down to the Braves and Phillies!
Phillies strengths - hitting, runs, JA Happ, and most of the bullpen.
weakness - Hamels, Blanton, ERA, Closer
Braves strengths - Starting pitching, Closer
weaknesses - run support (on the rise), bullpen (coming together)
very big opposites, this should be a very tight race.
It will come down to run support, and Bullpen.

I don't think that the Phillies should be too scared of the Braves, just not to do a 'Mets' and blow away their playoff bid. I believe Halladay is going to be traded. In today's economy, if a team has little to no chance and can cash in big from some players, while looking forward to rebuilding, they will be trigger happy on trades.
